Experienced Assembler

DevLinks, Ltd. is a robot integrator and automation specialist that offers its customer’s concept design through production capabilities. We are integrators for Fanuc and Wittmann robots.

About the Position:
We are looking for an experienced heavy mechanical assembler for our Arlington Heights, Illinois workshop for a short assignment.

These candidates will be performing various duties including mechanical assembly of conveyors, machinery guarding. Candidates will be working in a cell environment moving around working side by side with one of our team. Candidates will be expected to be able to follow directions but be able to work independently on a job. Candidates should follow safety rules at all times.

Requirements:

  • Speak and read English
  • Lift up to 50 pounds and be able to do physical labor
  • Good mechanical aptitude/dexterity
  • 1-2 years of manufacturing experience
  • Pass drug screen and criminal background check

Experienced Machinist

About the Position:
We are looking for an experienced machinist for our Arlington Height, Illinois workshop.

Duties:
This machinist must be able to oversee operations using lathes, either manual or programmable CNC to machine products for custom automation and robot End-of-Arm Tooling. Read and interpret engineering diagrams and drawings regarding product information such as design, capacity, and purpose, and types of material to be used to fabricate product. Analyze CAD drawings, written specifications, miscellaneous drawings, rough sketches, and verbal instructions to plan layout and determine sequence of operations. Read Solid Works software programs. Select metal stock and layout design according to dimensions computed from scale drawings. Design fixtures, tooling, and experimental parts to meet special engineering needs. Set-up and operate metalworking machine tools such as lathe, milling machine, saw, shaper, or grinder to machine parts to specifications, and verifies conformance of parts to specifications. Build an automation system and revolve issues that arise if outsourced machined parts require modifications.

Service/Installation Robot Engineer
  • Lead the integration and/or installation of FANUC robots and related peripheral equipment.
  • Robot and system programming and path editing of FANUC robots and related peripheral equipment to restore, maintain or optimize system performance
  • Provide DevLinks, Ltd. customers with on-site repair, troubleshooting, programming or maintenance services for FANUC robots and related system peripheral equipment on an emergency or unscheduled basis.
  • Ability to discuss, diagnosis & repair robot operational and process problems as reported by the customer
  • Documenting FANUC robot and related peripheral equipment performance, failure modes and reporting results for the purpose of troubleshooting, repairing, and restarting the system
  • Completion of a Field Service Report for each customer call
  • Maintenance of a service tool kit and documentation to facilitate rapid customer response
  • Perform warranty service on robot or system components provided by FANUC Robotics
  • Coordinate responsibilities, activities, and schedule with Service Supervisor to insure customer satisfaction, proper billing, and collections
  • Communicate frequently with involved FANUC Robotics employees and customer employees to insure that expectations are being met
  • Make customer courtesy calls independently as well as, with sales and cRc management

Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:

  • Associates degree in Robotics, Electronics, or other automation related area preferred, or equivalent technical education, Bachelor degree preferred.
  • Minimum four years Robotics Integration/Installation/Service Experience
  • Mechanical/Electrical/Pneumatic Troubleshooting, Teardown, and Repair Experience
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic prints and related technical documentation.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting PLC ladder logic
  • Experience with FANUC robots, controllers and peripheral equipment
  • Experience with FANUC application software and programming
  • Experience with common robot applications (spot welding, arc welding, material handling)
Mechanical Engineer
DevLinks, Ltd. is currently searching for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team.

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • To design and implement process driven, innovative automation system solutions and equipment design
  • Perform process evaluations, feasibility studies and proposal support prior to the release of quotations.
  • Design and implement systems using Solidworks 3-Dimensional design software.
  • Perform project execution upon receipt of order.
  • Create system design documentation.
  • Assist with equipment selection and specification.
  • Provide technical expertise and assurance to customers during sales appointments with sales personnel.
  • Work closely with purchasing, controls engineering, robot programming and the project management team to ensure the automation system design is completed in a timely manner.

Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Proficient use of SolidWorks software.
  • ACAD experience a plus.
  • Must have some automation process knowledgeable (know what is required to make a system work).
  • Should have working knowledge of National Electric Codes, NPFA 33 and related guidelines, and industry practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Radial Saw Operator
Immediate full-time opening for a person to operate a radial saw in our automation company.

Duties:
Operate a radial saw to cut aluminum extrusions to order; machine tap-holes and machine parts when necessary. Assemble and package extrusions for daily pick-up by customer. Load and unload materials and operate a forklift.

Key Traits:
Heavy lifting and above average math skills are required. Experience operating a stand-up fork truck is a plus. Candidates should be able to speak and read English. Able to follow instructions, adhere to safety procedures and check work to ensure we produce error-free parts.
We are interested in hiring a fast learner that is hard-working, motivated, punctual and reliable and a good time-keeper. Must be able to read and use a tape measure, calipers and a calculator. Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, bend, twist, squat, kneel, reach and lift at least 50 pounds on a regular basis.
