Industrial Electrician and Panel Builder -- Posted 6/1/21
A growing Arlington Heights robotics automation company is looking for an Industrial Electrician and Panel Builder to join our team. The industrial electrician and panel builder will be responsible for installing machine controls on our custom automation equipment. Tasks include performing electrical panel wiring, field wiring, pneumatic plumbing, troubleshooting and machine integration of industrial automated equipment.
    Job Type: Full-time, Monday through Friday. Hours are 6:30am – 3:00pm. Overtime is available.
    Salary Range: $22/hr. and $35/hr. depending on experience level
    Responsibilities:
    • Panel Construction: Build and wire panels from scratch reading electrical schematics.
    • Must be able to read and understand electrical schematics.
    • Must be able to travel to install equipment at our customers facilities (up to 10% of the time).
    • Field wiring to either the panel I/O or field mount I/O devices.
    • Pneumatic plumbing, must be able to read and understand Pneumatic Schematics.
    • Mounting electrical controls components to the machine, and fabricating mounting brackets as required.
    • Fabricate, assemble, and mount NEMA type cable troughs to cleanly wire machines.
    • Interact with project team (i.e. Controls Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Assemblers, and Project Manager, etc.).
    • Troubleshoot and debug (i.e. diagnoses trouble of defects, determines corrective action and repairs system).
    • Ensure that all equipment is in proper working condition after troubleshooting
    • Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics on automation system and components.
    • Provide status updates to management on assigned projects.
    • Comply with the company’s safety procedures such as Lock-Out/Tag-Out etc.
    Position Requirements:
    • Combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities (i.e. High school diploma or equivalent, with some college or technical school course work).
    • Possession of a valid drivers license.
    • 2+ years of experience wiring automated equipment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to read/understand electrical schematics and create redlines.
    • Ability to use and provide their own basic set of hand tools
    • Familiarity with machine shop equipment
    • Proficient understanding of the metric system.
    • Ability to use computer software (for wire label printing)
    • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills of electrical controls systems.
    • Must be a self-starter, team player, work well with others and have a positive attitude.
    • Sharp, quick, dedicated and innovative problem solver.
    • Exhibits continuous improvement.
    • Must be organized, creative, results-oriented, focused, and attentive to details.
    • Must have ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
    Physical Demands:
    • This position requires standing, sitting, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping for long lengths of time and frequent lifting and moving of objects up to 50lbs.

Purchasing Clerk - Entry Level -- Posted 6/1/21

Growing industrial automation company in Arlington Heights, Illinois is looking to hire a Purchasing Clerk.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary Range: Negotiable

Duties:

  • Purchase industrial materials specified by the mechanical and electrical engineers.
  • Ensure parts are purchased and delivered on time.
  • Receive parts and enter them into the inventory system.
  • Create and manage all the associated paperwork with purchasing goods, such as invoices etc.
  • Work closely with department manager to perform purchasing office functions which will include: answering phone calls, sourcing, processing, ordering, expediting, delivery and receipt of parts.
  • Some inventory database data entry, plus other duties as needed.

Education and Experience:

  • Familiar with QuickBooks
  • General office skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook, filing, shipping and internet searches.
  • Experience in a purchasing department of an industrial component company is a plus
  • High School Diploma

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to perform while in a sitting position at a desk, table, lab workbench or computer workstation.
  • An estimated 25% of the day could be spent in walking and standing to facilitate communication with other areas of the company.
